I Now Present...Your Kaidan Fix!

Hello beauties!

First, my news.  SWEET HOPE is being brought to the acquisition board at HarperCollins tomorrow!  That means we will have a definite yes or no very soon.  :-)  Thank you for your support and patience during this process.


And now for the goodie I promised you during the YA Crush Tourney...a scene from Kaidan's POV!!!  After deliberating all summer, I was inspired to write the first chapter from his viewpoint--the moment where Kai and Anna see one another for the first time, and then meet.  As you can imagine, being in Kai's head is very different than being in Anna's.  He's dodgy when it comes to feelings, refusing to admit things, even to himself.  His mind is not exactly the cleanest place to hang out, either, so be warned (teehee).  If you are offended by sexual commentary and cursing, you should probably sit this one out.  I managed to write SWEET EVIL without any "major" cuss words, but I did not want to censor Kai here.

    And all the best with Sweet Hope. As much as I want to say I'm sure they'll take it, I'll be sleeping with eyes, ears, toes and fingers crossed until we have good news! And if it's bad news, well...we'll wait until we get to that point!

  14. WOW!!! There are no words for how much I loved this! I'm crossing my fingers/ praying you'll get the good news soon! You'r such an amazing writer and SE was so good I can't imagine Harper not picking it up. They are after all business people so they should know a good thing when they see it!!

It was so fun and interesting to see how different it all was for him XD His voice as very authentic, in my opinion, and your descriptions once more drew me right into the scene - I felt like I was right there at the show! They way you describe the music and the feel of it is amazing! Reminded me why I love Sweet Evil so much and why I couldn't put it down :)

  20. Holy Neph Babies Everywhere (Or should I say Holy Damned Neph Babies Everywhere) !!!! That was so AMAZING .... Makes me wanna re-read Sweet Evil.. The ONLY thing that can be better than that would be a Kaidan-jealous-of-Kopano-Scene from his POV OR the make-out scenes between Anna and Kaidan in his POV!!!!! Anyway, So AWESOME. Thanks , Wendy , I love you and REALLY REALLY hope Harper publishes Sweet Hope!!!!!!!!! Ooh, and I think your books are "bloody brilliant".
