I'm not Irish, nor have I ever been to Ireland, but I've had a sort of obsession with the Emerald Isle since I was a child. I can only guess it's because my birthstone is the Emerald, and the country's folklore is fascinating. As an ode to my obsession, I wanted to set my next story in Ireland, and what's more Irish than Leprechauns?
When I told my husband this story idea he laughed. Hard. He told me there was no way I could create a "hot" Leprechaun. Well, when your man throws down the gauntlet, you've got to step up to the challenge. And that's how Dean was born (name subject to change...)
I look forward to *hopefully* being able to share this story with the world some day.
